El cable carril fue el primer medio de elavación instalado en el Cerro Catedral. Comenzaron los trabajos en el centro de esquí, pero en 1939 con el estallido de la segunda guerra mundial imposibilito la llegada de una parte mecánica y el cable, que se encontraba en Italia. Finalmente en el año 1950, el cable carril hace el primer ascenso con pasajeros.
The cable rail was the first lift installed in Cerro Catedral. Work began on the ski center, but in 1939 with the outbreak of the Second World War, mechanical parts and the cable that was in Italy, made the arrival impossible. Finally in 1950, the cable rail makes the first ascent with passengers.
